Rustam Minnikahnov and Rashid Nurgaliev opened new building of expert-criminalist center of Ministry of the Interiors on RT

New building of expert-criminalist center of Ministry of the Interiors on RT has been opened today by RF minister of the interiors Rashid Nurgaliev and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

The administrative complex ECC MVD on RT is spaced in the buildings where earlier republican GIBDD had been located. The complex undergone major repair and a special lab was placed in it. The ECC employees avail modern lab section of modern expertise where expertise of drugs, foodstuff, explosives, fire-technical , botanic, soil researches are made. One of prides of the Center is DNA analysis lab – its employees, in particular, were engaged in identification of the bodies killed at Bulgaria river boat wreck.

Addressing the ECC employees Rashid Nurgaliev mentioned that in condition of RF MVD modernization the agency needs as never before such experts. «The crimes become more complicated, they require serious documenting and the role of experts is growing», -Rashid Nurgaliev stated.

He congratulated new settlers of expert-criminalist center on appearance of the new building with them and expressed confidence that data received in these walls would facilitate uncovering crimes and punishing guilty. As a gift to new settlers Rashid Nurgaliev presented auto «VAZ-21074».

In his turn, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that republic always was and is an innovative region and new ECC building –one more example of this. «This is not a tribute to the vogue, we must be technologically advanced for solving serious tasks, - R. Minnikhanov is sure. – To provide safety without modern technologies is impossible.

Head of the republic expressed confidence that new opportunities appeared with criminalists would yield real results in the work on maintaining safety. Rustam Minnikhanov passed certificate to ECC on acquisition of computer equipment in amount of 200 ths. roubles.

The honored guests cut a symbolic tape at the building’s entrance and had a look at some labs.
