A large scale replacement of hanging communication cables to underground ones takes place in Tatarstan

Today briefing at RT Cabinet has been held «About course of works on replacing hanging communications cables to underground ones in major cities of the RT». Vice Premiere –RT minister of info and communication N. Nikiforov told about this large scale program.
By his words, presently, under RT President instructions and according to RT Government resolution the works of replacing hanging lines into underground are conducted in 9 cities of Tatarstan with population number more 50 ths. people. Total length of hanging lines in them – 1860 km. For 6 months of 2011 it has been replaced 117 km (for all 2010 – 113 km).
The longest lengths of hanging lines are in Bugulma (918 km), Kazan (335 km) and Almetievsk (290 km). Leaders by quantity of hanging lines among communication enterprises – JSC Tattelecom (1454 km), ООО Zilant Inforcomн (129,6 km), «Er-Telecom Holding (30km), JSC TRK TVT (17,9 km).
Nikolai Nikiforov told about further order of actions on the program. All 11 ths, multi-apartment houses in big cities will be photographed (to compare the situation before and after replacing). The communication operators explore their lines and provide information data to RT Ministry of info and communication and plans-schedules on transfer of lines under ground.
«Operational staff office will track every part of hanging lines between houses and key crossroads. Progress to be measured in number of cleared from cables houses», - minister stated. «We believe that common sense will prevail and operators in established dates will have this work finished», - Nikolai Nikiforov thinks.

On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
