Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in business breakfast hosted by Minister of Energy of Russia and Minister of Economy of Turkey

On August 18, during his working visit to Turkey, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in business breakfast hosted by co-chairs of the Russian-Turkish intergovernmental commission - Minister of Energy of Russia Aleksandr Novak and Minister of Economy of Turkey Nihat Zeybekci.

During the meeting, Minnikhanov, as the head of the region which is actively cooperating with Turkey, was given the floor. Tatarstan President expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to participate and speak at the breakfast and briefly told about the development of cooperation between the republic and Turkey as part of of Russian-Turkish relations.

“Together with the distinguished Minister of Economy of Turkey Zeybekci effendi we have taken part in the opening of several Turkish factories in Tatarstan. Today ten plants are functioning in the republic. Turkish companies have invested two billion US dollars in our republic. We are successfully cooperating in such areas as power engineering, machine-building, construction, woodworking, healthcare, agriculture and others.

We are also working with one of the largest industrial zones of Turkey - Gebze, which is ready to act as an operator for the development of the Sviyazhsk multi-modal complex and the special economic zone," Tatarstan President noted.

Minnikhanov stressed that Tatarstan wants that Turkish business continues to develop its projects in the republic and is ready to provide overall support in this regard.

Summing up, Tatarstan President expressed his hope that participation of Russia in the Izmir International Fair will contribute to the further expansion and strengthening of business contacts between our countries.
