Rustam Minnikhanov about Universiade in Shenzhen: there are some things that we can learn from our Chinese colleagues

Experience of the Chinese city Shenzhen, where the 26th World Summer Universiade is held in 2011, shall be used for the preparation and organization of the future summer Universiade in 2013 in Kazan. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan has declared that today during the video-conference Kazan-Shenzhen.
During the videoconference journalists from the Directory of the Universiade-2013 in Kazan got an opportunity to put their questions to the Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Russian sport union Oleg Matytsin and Secretary of the RF President’s Council for the development of physical training and sport, elite sport, preparation and organization of the summer Universiade-2013 and winter Olympics 2014 Aleksey Kulakovskiy.
Rustam Minnikhanov and other members of the delegation of Tatarstan Republic visited the Universiade Directory in Shenzhen. They got an opportunity to see with their own eyes how sportsmen live there, to get acquainted with the accreditation process of the guests. RT President noticed that most things are organized in a different way compared to the concept of preparation for the Universiade in Kazan. He considered the houses and rooms, where the sportsmen would live in Kazan, more comfortable. But there are some things that we could learn from them. For example, the excellent food service and household service for the sportsmen.
Rustam Minnikhanov also stressed a good organization of work with mass media. There is everything necessary for them, including modern equipment. More than 2,5 thousand journalists from all over the world got the accreditation.
“We have to give a proper respect to our Chinese colleagues. A huge and serious work has been done for the preparation and it impresses greatly,” – said Rustam Minnikhanov.
During the videoconference Rustam Minnikhav also talked with the sportsmen from the Russian national team, including the representatives of the Republic of Tatarstan. Our weightlifter Andrey Demanov would carry the flag of the Russian team during the opening ceremony in Shenzhen today.
All sportsmen have fighting spirit and aim to win, we have to show high results, according to the words of Rustam Minnikhanov. At the same time he also noticed the wet climate of Shenzhen and said that it would be very difficult for the sportsmen to show really high results.
Secretary of the RF President’s Council for the development of physical training and sport, elite sport, preparation and organization of the summer Universiade-2013 and winter Olympics 2014 Aleksey Kulakovskiy said that the Russian delegation in Shenzhen included 700 people, with 481 sportsmen among them. He reminded that yesterday the new FISU President Clod-Lui Galien had wished the future Universiade-2013 in Kazan to be the best one. Holding Universiade after China is a very serious and responsible matter.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service.
