Harvesting campaign in Tatarstan crosses “equator”

Currently more than a half of sown area has been harvested in Tatarstan. Such information was given by RT Vice-premier – Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov at a meeting in House of RT Government held by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov.
According to M.Akhmetov last week was very favorable for harvesting. “52 % of area has been harvested in republic”, - Head of Ministry of agriculture and foodstuff said. Currently 200 thousand tons of crops are being milled in republic within 24 hours. In general, harvesting works are organized in all the regions of republic. 1,7 mln. tons of feed units are procured in Tatarstan.
Marat Akhmetov informs that according to scientists’ forecast abnormal heat and drought may be repeated in 2012 thus it is important to provide 2-year reserve of fodder. He reminds as well that this year much work has been done on irrigation of sown areas for growing vegetables.
The minister advised villagers to prepare the soil and procure fertilizers noting that no budget subsidies will be allocated for purchasing fertilizers in a current year. Agricultural manufacturers will have to purchase on their own.
RT President Rustam Minnikhanov told about need for a strategy of crops consumption. He also reminded about necessity to return taken loans back to the state. Speaking about family farms and private households RT President gave assignment to provide them with fodder and organize collection and sale of production made.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
