A month-campaign for children safety to be held in Tatarstan

A month-campaign for children safety will be held in Tatarstan on August,20 – September,20. Yearly actions will take place in all Tatarstan educational institutions. Such information was given at a briefing in RT Cabinet by Deputy Head of GU MCHS of Russia on RT Andrei Orlov.
The briefing was traditionally held in format of videoconference with all municipal regions of republic.
According to Andrei Orlov, main purpose of the campaign is recovery of skills for safe activities on roads and transport, adequate actions in dangerous and emergency situations.
Head of Executive office of GIBDD on RT Rifkat Minnikhanov informed that Tatarstan will take part in II stage of All-Russia preventive action “Attention! - Children!” that is to be held on August 15 – September, 11, 2011. He reminded that 336 road accidents with children have been registered for 7 months in 2011, 11 children were lost and 350 were injured. “We consider the problem connected with child pedestrians to be very urgent”, - Rifkat Minnikhanov said. By his words, parents are guilty of children deaths on roads to a large extent. From the beginning of 2011 327 parents whose children broke the traffic rules were fined.
Rifkat Minnikhanov informed as well that first formers will receive light-reflecting bracelets which will help drivers see children on the roads particularly in darkness. According to foreign research these bracelets reduce accident rate by 65 % - a child is seen from the distance of 100 m.
RT Minister of education and science Albert Gilmutdinov and Deputy Minister of health care Rufina Golubeva also spoke at the briefing.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
