“KAMAZ” and Marcopolo sign Agreement of intentions

On August,16 several documents were signed between JSC “KAMAZ” and Marcopolo in presence of RT President Rustam Minnikhanov in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
Agreement of intentions was signed by Director-general of JSC “KAMAZ” Sergei Kogogin, one of co-founders and main stakeholder of “Marcopolo” Valter Gomes Pinto, Director-general of “Marcopolo” José Rubens de la Rosa and Director-general of “PoloAvtoRus” Yuri Eduardo Caio.
Within the limits of this document parties agreed on joint investigation of possibilities and preparation of feasibility study for creation of a joint enterprise in Russia.
Parties have already agreed that in case results of feasibility study will show complete efficiency of project, a joint enterprise will be created on parity basis. The enterprise will be involved in organizing production and selling of Marcopolo buses in Russia and CIS countries on the basis of bus chassis KAMAZ which meet ecological standards “Euro-4” and higher, and comply with modern requirements for vehicles for passengers transportation.
JSC “KAMAZ” is the largest automobile corporation in Russia. Group of companies “KAMAZ” consists of 96 enterprises 13 of which are main subsidiary companies. About 59 000 people are on the staff. Brand-name service network involves Russia and CIS countries. It includes 130 dealers and 100 auto service centres. Key production of JSC “KAMAZ” is presented by lorries with total weight 14-40 tons, diesel and gas engines. “KAMAZ” automobiles are being used in 80 countries of CIS, Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Marcopolo S.A. is a Brazilian bus concern founded in 1949, one of the largest bus producers in the world with 4 plants in Brazil, other ones in Mexico, Argentina, Columbia, South Africa, Egypt, India and China. More that 14 000 people work there. Marcopolo produces all kinds of buses and exports its production to 100 countries around the world.

On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
