Rustam Minnikhanov at Tom Sawyer Fest: The repaired houses in the center of Kazan are attractive for tourists and adds charm to the city

On August 30, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Aide to Tatarstan President Olesya Baltusova, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, and chief architect of Kazan Tatyana Prokofieva tok part in the closing of Tom Sawyer Fest.

For two months 147 volunteers have been repairing facades of four houses in the historic center of Kazan.

Ilsur Metshin congratulated everyone of the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan, and informed that seven houses had been repaired for two years. He thanked architects for the festival and reminded that the preservation of the city center and its unique image started from the walks of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Olesya Baltusova through the historic center of Kazan.
