On November 10, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working visit in the USA (November 9-11). The president will visit Renton, Everett (Washington), San Francisco, and Burlingame (California).
On November 9, speaking at a board session of Tatneftekhiminvest-holding held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Director of the Nanolek Russian pharmaceutical company Vladimir Khristenko said that Nanolek, which built a biomedical complex in Kirov region, intends to establish cooperation with the Tatarstan pharmaceuticals company Tatkhimpharmpreparaty for the production of import-substituting innovative medicines.
On November 9, speaking at a board session of Tatneftekhiminvest-holding held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Director General of Tatneftekhiminvest-holding Rafinat Yarullin said that from January to September 2016 in Tatarstan, as well as in Russia, the petrochemical complex has maintained last year's production volumes, having shipped products for the sum of 834.5 billion roubles.
On November 8, at their meeting at Tatarstan Government House, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Board Chairman of Inter RAO, a diversified energy holding company, Boris Kovalchuk signed a Cooperation Agreement in the sphere of power engineering.
On November 8, at his meeting with the Permanent Representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the Russian Federation Gabriel Di Bella at Tatarstan Government House, Prime Minister of the republic Ildar Khalikov said that it was a great honour to receive the representative of such a credible organization, and that the work of the IMF is very important to Russia and Tatarstan in particular.
On November 7, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of Yelabuga region Gennady Emelyanov, Director General of Alabuga Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Timur Shagivaleev, representatives of ministries and agencies took part in a solemn ceremony of launching of construction of two new plants “IGS Agro” and “August-Alabuga”.
On November 7, projects of four new resident companies of Alabuga Special Economic Zone were approved at the session of the Supervisory Council of Alabuga SEZ. The total amount of investments makes 1 bln roubles.
On November 6, the international friendly match between veterans of Tatarstan and Czech hockey took place at the Palace of sport in Kazan. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, legendary players of Ak Bars team Aleksei Morozov, Aleksei Chupin, and others played in the Tatarstan team.
