Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in research and practice conference “Derzhavin readings”

On September 21, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening of the research and practice conference “Derzhavin readings” at the Kazan Federal University.

“The participants of the conference are happy to welcome you in Tatarstan, the native land of Mikhail Derzhavin. It is a good tradition to hold the conference together with All-Russia State University of Justice. Today we are all doing big jobs. We always remember Mikhail Romanovich with very special warm feelings,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

The president noted that the legislative base that provides functioning of all branches of government was created in the republic.

Kazan Federal University and All-Russia State University of Justice traditionally play the role of co-organizers of this important event. Representatives of Kazan Federal University, students of Kazan Suvorov School, cadets of the Investigation committee of the Russian Federation, students of the Academy of the Russian Investigation committee, employees of the Tatarstan Investigation Department of the Russian Investigation committee are taking part in the conference.  

Also, during the conference, Rustam Minnikhanov awarded the assistant of the department of constitutional and administrative law of Kazan Federal University Alsu Khurmatullina with the Regional G.Derzhvin award.

The Derzhavin award is given to writers, poets, and translators for their significant literary works written in Russian that gained wide public recognition, as well as works in Tatar that popularize Derzhavin’s creative work.  Moreover, it is given to lawyers for their research work in the sphere of jurisprudence published over the last five years.

The award is given once a year and includes two prizes, 200,000 roubles each.
