Rustam Minnikhanov arrives on a working visit in Japan

On October 1, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a two-day working visit to Japan as a member of the Russian delegation led by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich to take part in the Science and Technology in Society Forum (STS-forum) to be solemnly opened in Kyoto today.

During his stay in Japan Minnikhanov will take part in a meeting between Dvorkovich and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and will also attend a meeting of the Russian delegation with Chairman and Founder of the Science and Technology in Society International Forum Koji Omi.

Later on the same day, Tatarstan President will hold talks with representatives of the RIKEN Institute for Physical and Chemical Research and the Mitsubishi Research Institute. A meeting with Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan Hiroshige Seko, who is responsible for the development of economic relations with Russia, is also planned.

On October 2, Minnikhanov will head for Tokyo to take part in the Tatarstan-Japan Business Forum and to meet Special Adviser to the Japanese Prime Minister Eiichi Hasegawa.
