On October 27, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov officially opened two new sections of the M-7 highway under reconstruction.

Aide to Russian President Igor Levitin, Deputy Head of Federal Road Agency Andrey Kostyuk and Minister of Transport and Road Lenar Safin took part in a solemn event.

"This road was called “the road of life''. Next year we will open the remaining three sections, and the M-7 highway will become "the road of happiness" for drivers,” Levitin noted in his speech.

He added that motorists will celebrate their professional holiday in two days and invited everyone to join in congratulating them with applause. Levitin also congratulated road workers both on successful delivery of two objects and on their professional holiday held recently.

In his turn Minnikhanov stressed that a solid team of road workers able to solve tasks of any complexity is working in the republic.

"Today, on the Constitution Day of the Republic of Tatarstan, we have the opportunity to open these two sections of the M-7 highway, which is very important to us. Next year we will fully complete its reconstruction," he said.

Tatarstan President said that ten billion roubles were invested in these two sections alone, and each invested rouble helped to significantly improve the quality of the road traffic. "These are safe roads that allow us to develop the economy of the republic and the whole country," he stressed.
