Russian public officials congratulate Rustam Minnikhanov on the National Day of Unity

On November 4, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko congratulated Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov on the National Day of Unity.

"This holiday reminds us of the heroic pages of our history, traditions, sense of nationhood and patriotism of the Russian people," her telegram reads in particular. "It symbolizes the idea of national harmony and unity necessary to achieve the well-being of our common home - the great Russia. Preserving the great centuries-old cultural and spiritual heritage, we are able to overcome any challenges of our time, ensure the sustainable development of the country."

In his telegram Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin said that “past experience has taught us that love for our native land, responsibility for the destiny of our country, unity and consolidation of society are the fundamental values necessary for the successful development of our state ".

Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino also sent a telegram to Minnikhanov. 

"This holiday is a symbol of the participation of each of us in the heroic history of Russia, overall commitment to our motherland. It embodies inexhaustible strength and continuity of centuries-old traditions of unity of people around common great goals for the freedom, independence, power and prosperity of our motherland," the telegram reads.
