Tatarstan President meets senior executives of Tidfore Company

On November 18, during his working visit to the People’s Republic of China, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with senior executives of Tidfore Heavy Equipment Group.

At the beginning of the meeting, Minnikhanov thanked for the interest in Tatarstan. "Our republic attaches great importance to the development of cooperation with China as part of Russia-China relations. Tatarstan is actively cooperating with Chinese partners. Trade and economic Representative Office of our republic operates in Beijing. The General Consulate of China was opened in Kazan. We collaborate in various areas of the economy,” he noted.

"Tidfore is a well-known Chinese innovative company, engaged in the design and manufacture of industrial equipment. As far as I know you are working on the implementation of the Kazan Financial District project in the territory of Novotatarskaya Sloboda in Kazan. This platform is designed to become a new Kazan’s business centre with the preservation of historical, cultural and natural-recreational facilities," Minnikhanov said.

The meeting also discussed proposals for the joint implementation and development of the master plan for the Kazan Financial District project and the cargo river port of the city of Kazan.

Following the meeting, the regional Islamic Business and Finance Development Fund and Tidfore Heavy Equipment Group signed a memorandum of understanding.
