On 24 February during his working trip to Zelenodolsk region Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin together with the Head of the region Mikhail Afanasyev took part in a ceremony of handing in medals “80 years to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII)” to two war veterans, a residents of the blockaded Leningrad and the home front worker living in the region.
Speaking at the ceremony, Aleksey Pesoshin said: “Taking care of veterans has always been one of priority tasks for our leadership. Today, dear veterans, we are handing you in jubilee medals as a symbol of acknowledgement and gratitude for having ensured our present by your feat”.
Thank you for your knowledge and experience which help us to build the future, he said and in conclusion on behalf of all residents of the republic wished the veterans good health, prosperity, care of their near ones and long years of life.
