500 family farms to appear in Tatarstan by the end of 2011

Currently there are 350 family farms in the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Minsagir Nurtdinov informed at a republican meeting in the RT Government House held in format of video conference with all municipalities. The event was chaired by the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
According to Minsagir Nurtdinov by the end of 2011 the number of family farms is planned to make 500. 10 thousand tons of milk and 3 thousand tons of meat have now been produced by family farms. Family farms provide additional works in villages, Deputy Minister of agriculture highlighted. By and large, 1,5 thousand people are working at family farms. Organizers of family farms actively participate in the program “Leasing-grant”.
Speaking about development of livestock sector in general Minsagir Nurtdinov informed meat production for the last 9 months was at the same level as the year before. Thus, 218 thousand tons of meat has been produced for 9 months, 200 thousand animal yield obtained, loss of cattle made 19 thousand head (10 % of the yield).
Several districts (Kamsko-Ustinsky, Nizhnekamsky, Tetyushsky) admitted reduction of livestock notwithstanding availability of forage resources and other equal terms of work with other districts.
Rustam Minnikhanov addressed Tatarstan PM and Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov to analyze the situation and find out why the mentioned regions let reducing production of meat and milk.
All conditions for developing agricultural sector and organizing family farms have been created in republic, the President said.
By words of Minsagir Nurtdinov agricultural producers have been issued 16 thousand loans for the sum of 3,7 bln roubles during the past period.

On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
