Rustam Minnikhanov and Senior partner of Runa Capital Fund Sergey Belousov discuss issues of IT development in Tatarstan

The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has met with senior partner of seed investment Fund Runa Capital, founder and chairman of Parallels board Sergey Belousov.
The meeting was held at the RT Government House with participation of the Minister of informatization and communications Nikolay Nikiforov, Aide to RT President Anatoly Krasnov and others.
The parties discussed further development of IT-sector in Tatarstan as one of Russian regions. The emphasis was put on today’s development of IT sector as a “growing point” of Tatarstan economy. In order to attract young specialists in Republic, particularly in IT-sector, a comfortable environment is needed so that they can live, work and do their business.
Nikolay Nikiforov informed on October 30 guests saw sports infrastructure being created for Universiade-2013, discussed changes Tatarstan should face to become attractive for IT-business and young specialists.
Nikolay Nikiforov believes today IT-sector is a huge global market and it will continue expanding.
Today Sergey Belousov will held master-class on issues of venture investment in a high-tech park - IT-park (Kazan, Peterburgskaya str).
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
