1 November 2011, Tuesday
There are not enough places for Kazan students at hostels. Kazan technological university lack places and they have already applied for accommodation in 2 houses in Universiade Village, Head of the Staff – Counsellor of the Director-general of ANO “Executive office “Kazan 2013” Larisa Sulima informed at a briefing in RT Cabinet.
“There are not enough places for students of Kazan power engineering university, Kazan medical university and some non-government universities. These universities have already applied and currently we consider the opportunity to accommodate students studying at other universities except for Volga sports and tourism academy and Volga federal university”, Larisa Sulima said.
We remind that Universiade heritage such as Universiade village will belong to only two educational institutions - Volga academy of physical culture, sport and tourism, and Volga federal university.
“Kazan is a student city. We want many young people come here for studying but the housing fund cannot provide enough places for accommodation. Though we will try to support distinguished students, leaders and activists jointly with “Student league” of RT and let them live in Universiade village”, Larisa Sulima stated saying that living there is very responsible because we have to keep the campus for guests who will come here in 2013.
