Tatarstan President takes part in convention of Council of municipal formations

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the IV convention of Council of municipal formations of RT. RT State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, RT Premier Ildar Khalikov, Chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin, heads and representatives of all 989 municipal formations attended the event.
Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with work of mobile cash service station of Sberbank. At this station residents of the most remote villages and regions will be able to use banking services without going to regional centres. The first automobile will be travelling via villages of Verkhneuslonsky and Zelenodolsky regions.
Chairman of Council of municipal formations Minsagit Shakirov reported on activity of the Council. He thinks that it has acquired a reputation of efficient and important institution like the whole system of local self-government in Tatarstan.
Minsagit Shakirov told about some problems set before municipal authorities. In particular, he paid attention to a great number of directions of prosecutor's supervision bodies addressed to municipal authorities. In many cases municipalities are not able to fulfill these directions because of insufficient means.
Heads of several municipalities also spoke at the convention. They addressed the matters of construction of rural roads, maintenance of hydrotechnical construction and bridges.
President of All-Russia congress of municipal formations, member of RF Federation council Stepan Kirichuk also made a speech at the event. By his words RT Council of municipal formations is one of the best in Russia. Stepan Kirichuk thanked First President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev who initiated creation of the council.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov summarized the convention. Head of Republic granted several awards including the recently approved medal “For merits in developing local self-government”.
RT State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev was the first to receive the award.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
