Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of supervisory board of the Republican fund of historical and cultural monuments Mintimer Shaimiev is on a working trip to Italy by the invitation of Director-general of the International Centre for the Study and the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) Munir Bushenaki.
Today Mintimer Shaimiev and Munir Bushenaki visit Paestum town in province of Salerno (Southern Italy) to take part in official closing of Mediterranean exchange of archeological tourism and look over the exhibition of virtual archeology.
The itinerary also includes the visit to archeological monuments - objects of World cultural heritage of Paestum and National archeological museum.
A meeting with President of Salerno province Edmondo Chirielli will be held afterwards.
In the evening Tatarstan delegation will arrive in the capital of Italy – Rome where Mintimer Shaimievis going to meet with the Counsellor of the Italian President on cultural heritage Luis Godart and Director-general of the Department for development of the Italian Ministry of foreign affairs Mauricio Melanie.
The working visit of RT State Counsellor will end with visit to HQ of ICCROM (International Centre for the Study and the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property).
RT State Counsellor is accompanied by Aide to RT President on social issues, CEO of the Republican fund of historical and cultural monuments Tatiana Larionova, Chairman of the Russian national committee of world cultural and natural heritage at the RF Commission for UNESCO affairs Igor Makovetsky, plenipotentiary of RT on French Republic Iskander Yusupov, Chief of Volga division of the UNESCO Department for preservation of urban and architectural monuments Rafael Valeev.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
