Intermodal line to be put into operation in Kazan on the magic day - 12.12.12

A railway intermodal line is to be put into operation on the magic day - 12.12.12 in Kazan. Thus, one will be able to get from the city centre to JSC “International airport “Kazan” for 20 minutes.
By the way, the project funding will make 12,9 bln roubles. The length of intermodal way will make 26 km. Passengers will be carried by modern high-speed trains produced in Russia.
Such information was given today by RT Minister of transport and road facilities Lenar Safin at a briefing in RT Cabinet.
Currently JSC “RZHD” (Russian railways) is implementing the construction of this unique railway. 17 km of roads have already been laid.
A special enclosed building by which passengers will be able to get from the railway station to the train will be constructed at Kazan railways. Multiple suburban railways will be connected with the intermodal line. Thus, the whole network of suburban railway transport will appear close to the Tatarstan capital.
It is also planned to implement complex reconstruction of railway junction of “Kazan” station and create a high-tech multifunctional transport-transit junction.
The railway line will help guests of Universiade 2013 to move around the city comfortably.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
