Rustam Minnikhanov: we are going to involve leading players of IT-market in further development of IT-sector

Tatarstan Republic may become the region to assist Juniper Networks in entering the Russian market, RT President Rustam Minnikhanov stated at a meeting with the founder, technical director and Deputy chairman of Juniper Networks board Pradeep Sindhu.
The meeting took place in Tatarstan Government House with participation of Vice-President of Juniper Networks on ЕМЕА region (Europe, Middle East, Africa) Dmitry Kamensky, Director-general of Inoventica company Vitaly Slizen, Chairman of NVision Group board Dmitry Taraba, Deputy RT Premier – Minister of informatization and telecom Nikolay Nikiforov, Director-general of ANO “Executive office of XXVII World summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan” Vladimir Leonov, Director-general of JSC “Tattelecom” Lutfulla Shafigullin, Director of GAU “Technopark in the sphere of high technologies “IT-park” Dinar Nasyrov.
Rustam Minnikhanov marked over the last few years much emphasis has been put on information technologies in Tatarstan, their application in various sectors – industry, education, health care, culture. The following IT-projects are being realized in Republic – “E-school”, “E-Government of RT”, educational IT-cluster is being created on the base of Kazan federal university.
We are going to involve leading players of the global IT-market in further development of IT-industry, RT President said. By his words, today the largest project in the industry is construction of IT-village close to Kazan city. The project has already been approved by the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, Singapore company RSP Architect is developing master-plan of IT-village.
“We need a serious partner, a world-known company to speak about development of information technologies seriously. Tatarstan is ready to expand IT-cluster in all economic sectors and become one of the leading players at the Russian IT-market. Thus, Tatarstan is interested in cooperation with Juniper Networks”, Rustam Minnikhanov stated.
Deputy chairman of Juniper Networks board Pradeep Sindhu said he was impressed by what he had seen in Kazan. On November 22 he visited several Universiade objects and got acquainted with some projects of IT-park residents with his party.
“I see the strategy of your Government focuses on development, you are implementing new principles of developing information technologies to a large extent. We can find many forms of strategic partnership with Tatarstan”, Pradeep Sindhu said.
“Information technologies are very important today in business and government institutions, in education. We are expecting a lot from the opportunity to work with you”, Pradeep Sindhu marked.
Minister of informatization and telecom Nikolay Nikiforov told about cooperation with companies Inoventica and NVision Group. He informed as well about a public lecture of Pradeep Sindhu that would be held in IT-park dedicated to new communication means and information network as the new way of thinking. Students of Kazan universities, employees of companies – residents of IT-park and business incubator located in IT-park were invited to hear the lecture.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
