Tatarstan President meets representatives of Republic in State Duma of the 6th convocation

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has met with Tatarstan deputies of State Duma of the 6th convocation who represent the party “United Russia”. Tatarstan PM Ildar Khalikov, Chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin, took part in the meeting.
13 deputies represent Tatarstan in State Duma of the 6th convocation. Among them are those who have already worked in Russian Parliament and those who will take a deputy place for the first time. At the meeting Tatarstan President discussed tasks set before deputies.
According to Oleg Morozov, one of the deputies, Tatarstan deputies have one of the largest representations in State Duma of the 6th convocation.
“We agreed on assigning relevant ministries, agencies and federal programs to each deputy in order to attract federal funds in Republic”, Oleg Morozov stated. By his words, every deputy will also be engaged in law-making activity within his professional competence.
Chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin informed Rustam Minnikhanov about results of a meeting between leadership of Tatarstan regional branch of “United Russia” with newly elected deputies.
In particular, Tatarstan deputies offered Oleg Morozov to become coordinator of Tatarstan deputation of “United Russia” again. Moreover, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov suggested that deputies will now meet once a month within the confines of Coordination Council.
By words of Chairman of RT State Council Tatarstan deputies would intensify work with electorate in State Duma of the 6th convocation.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
