Rustam Minnikhanov: our task is to involve the younger generation in innovative process

“Main task of the republican contest “50 best innovative ideas for the Republic of Tatarstan” is to involve the younger generation in innovative process”, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov stated at a solemn ceremony of awarding the contest winners in the Kazan Korston.
In the event took part Tatarstan PM Ildar Khalikov, Nobel prize winner, scientific chief of Skolkovo innovation centre Jores Alferov, foreign guests and other officials.
By words of Rustam Minnikhanov 1700 bids were received from 20 regions for participation in the 7th contest this year. 180 winners have been defined. “Our main task is to give impetus to this area, by involving the younger generation, pupils and students in this process. I believe we can do it”, RT President highlighted.
“Jores Alferov is here with us today. People engaged in innovative process should strive for becoming so famous. I hope in future the content of bids will be more interesting and perspective”, Rustam Minnikhanov marked.
Head of Tatarstan held a ceremony of awarding 10 winners in nomination “Perspective”.
RT Premier Ildar Khalikov awarded winners in nomination “Social and economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan”.
One of them is Iskander Yasaveev who presented the project “City without barriers” – interactive map of urban environment availability for disabled people.
“Unfortunately no similar contests are held in Russia. But we hope they will appear soon for the sake of development of our big great country. It is very important that it is our Tatarstan land where ideas and projects arise”, Ildar Khalikov said.
Jores Alferov awarded winners in nomination “Best invention of year”. “I am very grateful for invitation to visit Kazan. Many years of work of Russian academy of sciences are connected with this city, many institutions were located here during Wartime. Today innovative economy is closely connected with science. Tatarstan is among leaders in innovative process”, a scientist of world-wide reputation said.
Among winners in nomination “Best invention of year” is Director-general of JSC Tatneft Shafagat Takhautdinov.
By words of Director of RT Investment venture fund Ainur Aideldinov results of the contest “50 best innovative ideas for the Republic of Tatarstan” were summarized for the 7th time. The list of winners was approved at the session of RT Investment venture fund guardianship board.
The selection of projects by the program of innovative projects “Idea-1000” is also held in the context of the contest.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
