Ambassador of Morocco in Russia: Kingdom of Morocco is interested in more intensive cooperation with Tatarstan Republic

Kingdom of Morocco is interested in more intensive bilateral cooperation with Tatarstan Republic as one of the regions of Russian Federation, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kingdom of Morocco Abdelkader Lesheheb stated at a meeting with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
The meeting took place in RT Government House with participation of delegation of Kingdom of Morocco, Director of Department for external relations at RT President - Aide to RT President on international issues Iskander Muflikhanov, RT Minister of culture Airat Sibagatullin, Minister of youth affairs, sport and tourism Rafis Burganov, Chief of Investment development agency Linar Yakupov, Rector of Kazan federal university (K (V) FU) Ilshat Gafurov.
Greeting guests RT President Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Ambassador of Morocco in Russia Abdelkader Lesheheb for active work on organization of Days of Morocco culture in Tatarstan.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov for the moment people in Tatarstan know a little about culture, traditions and history of Morocco. Meanwhile, in modern world, in the period of globalization it is especially important to preserve origins and traditions. “The Republic of Tatarstan is a multi-confessional region where representatives of more than 100 nationalities live in harmony. This feature unites Tatarstan and Morocco”, Rustam Minnikhanov said.
In terms of developing mutually beneficial relations cooperation can be realized in the sphere of culture and education. Rustam Minnikhanov reminded an agreement on cooperation between two universities of Tatarstan and Morocco is to be signed on December 15. This measure is meant to increase exchange of students between two regions.
RT President marked the program of development and maintenance of folk crafts being realized in Morocco is of special interest for Tatarstan. By his words, the program is unique and enables increasing volume of output in this sphere.
Rustam Minnikhanov is sure Days of Morocco culture in Tatarstan will give opportunity to get familiar with potential of this country and consolidate trade-economic relations between Tatarstan and Morocco.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kingdom of Morocco Abdelkader Lesheheb informed today Russia and Morocco are united by Agreement on strategic partnership. By his words in the context of this document special attention is paid to cooperation with Tatarstan as one of Russian regions. Mr Ambassador believes Days of Morocco in Tatarstan will give impetus to development of relations in the sphere of tourism and trade.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
