Rustam Minnikhanov congratulates Federal Security Service of Russia on RT on professional holyday

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has congratulated today the officers of Federal Security Service of Russia on RT on their professional holyday – Day of national security service workers.

The official event was attended by chief of FSB of Russia on RT general – major Alexandr Antonov, speaker of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin, the veterans of the branch.

Addressing the FSS officers and veterans Rustam Minnikhanov marked that FSS of Russia - one of the most important institutions of statehood maintaining territorial integrity and national security of the country. All previous history of your service full of examples of valorous service to your state, defending its interests and constitutional foundations, RT President said.

«Today you face responsible tasks connected with challenges of new millennium, - Rustam Minnikhanov informed. – This rapid changing international situation, first of all, antiterrorist and counter intelligence activity, fighting corruption and crimes in the sphere of economy. It is not a secret that international terrorism year by year becomes more sophisticated, aggressive and dangerous. Such challenges can be tackled only by raising professional skills, mastering the newest high-tech means of fighting against this evil».

He expressed the words of gratitude to all staff of FSS Dept. for active and professional participation in maintaining security and law on territory of the Republic of Tatarstan including during holding elections of the deputies to RF State Duma of Federal Assembly.

«I have no doubts that you accurately and jointly with other staff of law-enforcement bodies of the republic will implement your task during holding elections of president of Russia », - Rustam Minnikhanov.

«You face also the tasks on maintaining security while preparing and holding XXVII World summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan, - head of Tatarstan reminded. – Work in this direction has started on time and is actively pursuit by FSB RF on RT. Owing to your efforts and skills state security in Tatarstan was duly ensured, including in terms of counterintelligence cover of the construction of our industrial giants, Kazanorgsintez, Kamaz and Nizhnekamskneftekhim».

Republic’s leadership understands the importance and complexness of the tasks faced by you and always renders necessary help in their solution said Rustam Minnikhanov, addressing department officials. By his opinion, present generation of FSB staff continues and develops famous traditions of their forefathers, constantly perfecting art of operational work following high principles of warriors honor, humanism and responsibility before и society and state.
