RT Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov: Common people show more interest in creating family farms than heads of the regions

1,6 times more credits for 11 months of 2011 have been granted to agricultural producers than last year.

RT Vice PM –minister of agriculture Marat Akhmetov informed this at the meeting in the RT Cabinet today.

Meeting on issue of developing individual households, construction of family farms, the results of work in cattle farming sector for 11 months of 2011 took place today in a video conference format with all RT municipal regions.

It was held by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov.

Marat Akhmetov marked that for 11 months of current year the republic allocated 20 ths. credits to agro-producers amounting to 4,5 bln. rubles.

Head of RT Ministry of agriculture informed that outcome of sector activity in 2011 to be summed up at the republican visit session in the middle of February 2012.

More detailed he dwelt on results in cattle farming for 11 months of current year. «We failed to liquidate a gap in cattle livestock of 26 ths. heads», - Marat Akhmetov.

Meanwhile he informed that for 11 months 241 ths. of offspring increase took place (95% to 2010 year ).

Losses in cattle farming 23 ths. heads (or 9% to volume of increase).

RT minister of agriculture stated already plan schedule has been ready for visiting the farms with “shameful low milk yield».

There are serious problems in the farms on zoo veterinary. So, there are farms where per 1200 heads of cattle not a single veterinary is present.

In general, milk yield for 11 months in the republic made 3% (to relevant last year period).

In 2012, all budget support of agro-producers will be realized with account of dynamics of milk herd livestock number, Marat Akhmetov reminded.

Besides, since January 1, 2012, the republic envisages subsidy for agro-producers for getting animal crop – 300 rubles per head.

Regarding creation of family farms, by today, more 400 are active in the republic.

More 2 ths. people have obtained jobs. But as Marat Akhmetov mentioned, « common people expose more interest to creating family farms than head of the regions». Considerable growth in commissioning family farms showed Agryzsky, Aksubaevsky, Novosheshminsky Mizhnekamsky municipal regions.

Marat Akhmetov informed that the RT budget had allocated setting up 287 family farms in amount of 155 mln. rubles.

In 2012 the republic expects to receive the support from the federal budget for these purposes.

So, the program is to be launched in the context of which compensation of 30 % expenses from federal budget is provided for construction of milk farm, and Tatarstan should participate in this program, RT minister of agriculture considers.

RT President Rustam Minnikhanov appealed to the heads of municipal regions to pay the most persistent attention to developing cattle farming sector, especially to the villagers involved in breeding cattle.

This is very hard work, he said. Besides, Rustam Minnikhanov mentioned that the issue of getting calves crop should be controlled, its preservation and care, provision of calves with necessary feeding and nursing.
