RT Prime minister Vladimir Putin classed Tatarstan to a nucleus of strong Russian regions

The Republic of Tatarstan by level of the efficiency activity of executive authorities enter the number of the most strongest regions of the Russian Federation.
Such an opinion expressed today Chairman of the RF Government Vladimir Putin during the video conference meeting on assessment of the efficiency activity of executive power bodies of RF subjects. Acting RT President – Prime minister of the republic Ildar Khalikov took part in the video conference.
Opening the conference Vladimir Putin underlined that on the fact how the region feels itself depends the state of the whole country.
Moreover, by words of RF Prime minister, the situation in a concrete region is determined not only by presence of natural resources and support from the federal center but by the activity of federation subject leadership.
Head of the RF Government mentioned that methods of assessment of the efficiency of executive power bodies of RF subjects needs perfecting.
«Often criteria on paper look quite attractive but citizens assess the work very low, - Vladimir Putin stated. – This mismatch between the realities of paper and how the citizens refer to these quasi-achievements living on this or other territory compel us to think over the objectivity of these assessments».
In this connection, by V. Putin’s opinion, it is necessary to achieve that the efficiency of work of regional authorities directly to be reflected at the life level of the population.
Vladimir Putin informed that RF Government already has committed a whole number of steps aimed at perfecting system of assessments of the activity of regional bodies of executive power.
So, in particular, a criterion of the attracted investments volume has been introduced.
«A nucleus of strong regions has been developed with us: Tatarstan, Krasnodarsky krai, Tyumensky region, Belgorodsky region », - RF PM stated.
He demanded RF Ministry of economic development, Minregion and Minfin to step up development of new methods of assessment and designated number of requirements to these methods.
So, by words of Vladimir Putin, the methods should be based not the last thing on clear, understandable criteria including public opinion of the citizens.
The system of assessment should stimulate regions to a balanced progress. By opinion of the RF Prime minister it is necessary also to perfect the system of rendering financial aid to the regions.
«New mechanism must be developed in a close contacts with public, entrepreneurs public associations», - head of RF Government emphasized.
On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
