Delegation of Kransoyarsk region led by the Governor Lev Kuznetsov has arrived in Kazan. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Acting PM Ravil Muratov received guests in the international airport “Kazan”.
Members of Kransoyarsk delegation viewed construction works at terminal 1A and project of airport modernization. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov told the Governor of Kransoyarsk region that capacity of two main terminals will make 2,5 mln people per year. After reconstruction implemented within the Federal target program the length of take-off runway will make 3,75 km and will enable landing of any aircrafts, even the world’s largest passenger airbus A380.
At the same time the project of inter-modal transportations from Kazan railway station to the airport is being realized by JSC “RZHD” (Russian railways).
Lev Kuznetsov noted Krasnoyarsk airport is also planned to be reconstructed. Thus, Kazan experience may be of great interest for Krasnoyarsk. Moreover, Krasnoyarsk will bid for holding Winter Univesiade 2019. Therefore, Kazan experience in the sphere of preparation for student games may be useful for Krasnoyarsk region.
Universiade Village was the first object delegation visited. Guests were told about living conditions for sportsmen and students.
Presentation of Volga academy of physical culture and sport was held in Academy of tennis.
Head of Executive office of Universiade 2013 Vladimir Leonov told in details about preparation for student games.
Today members of delegation are going to visit a variety of finished sport objects of World student games 2013 and some being under construction, IT-park and meet with first FISU Vice-president Oleg Matytsin and FISU Summer Universiade Director Marc Vandenplas.
In addition, an official meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Kransoyarsk region Lev Kuznetsov will be held in the Kazan Kremlin.

The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
