Ildar Khalikov: Much emphasis should be put on safety and quality upon housing construction

Observance of safety requirements upon implementing construction works and assurance of high quality of housing are priority tasks in realization of republican housing programs. Such a statement was made today by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov at a meeting on issues of housing construction.
According to RT Minister of construction, architecture and housing Irek Faizullin 5 fatal accidents have happened at construction objects from the beginning of 2012, whereas 26 accidents happened in 2011.
The data given by the ministry’s head say that 438 thousand m² of housing (including 102 thousand m² by social mortgage) have been commissioned in January-February 2012.
Construction of 155 houses is being implemented by the program of housing providing for veterans of Great Patriotic War.
By the program of relocation of citizens from failing housing funding of the Housing and Utilities Reform Fund has increased for 58 mln roubles and now makes 533 mln roubles. Co-funding of the program by republican budget will make 198 mln roubles.
Tatarstan PM Ildar Khalikov addressed chiefs of municipal formations with requirement to pay special attention to building safety and quality of constructed housing.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
