Rustam Minnikhanov meets with representatives of non-commercial partnership “Logistics and road transportations of Tatarstan”

Preparation of qualified personnel, renewal of carrying vehicles, receipt of orders for cargo transportation from big industrial enterprises of Tatarstan have been discussed at a meeting of RT President Rustam Minnikhanov with representatives of non-commercial partnership “Logistics and road transportations of Tatarstan”.
The meeting was held in the House of RT Government with participation of Deputy RT Premier – Head of RT Cabinet Staff Shamil Gafarov, RT Minister of industry and trade Ravil Zaripov, RT Minister of education and science Albert Gilmutdinov, Head of RT Investment Development Agency Linar Yakubov, Chief of UGIBDD MVD on RT (Department of State Road Safety Inspectorate of the interior ministry) Rifkat Minnikhanov.
Opening the event RT President marked that transport sector plays an important role in economic development of the republic. “We have to weigh our needs for cargo transportations with available carrying vehicles and the transport development program,” he said.
Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that the need for cargo transportations would be growing due to the fixed task on increasing production volume to 2 trillion roubles by 2016.
The volume of cargo transportations will also enhance in connection with development of JSC “KAMAZ”, “Kazanorgsintez”, “Nizhnekamskneftehim”, and expansion of special economic zone “Alabuga”. Thus, we need a systemic approach to cargo transportations, Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Representatives of non-commercial partnership “Logistics and road transportations of Tatarstan”, who initiated today’s meeting, told about current problems and offered their solutions.
President of non-commercial partnership Leonid Steinberg told about the February’s meeting of the partnership members dedicated to urgent issues of the industry (see more- http://www.business-gazeta.ru/article/54624/ ).
One of the main problems faced by cargo carriers is preparation of qualified personnel able to drive heavyweight trucks.
Moreover, Leonid Steinberg suggested developing a program so that members of the partnership can purchase vehicles produced by “KAMAZ”, joint enterprise of KAMAZ and Daimler AG subject to loan conditions.
Rustam Minnikhanov addressed relevant ministries (RT Ministry of education and science, RT Ministry of labour and social protection) with request to consider the issue on preparing drivers for heavyweight trucks in accordance with the market requirements.
Besides, in opinion of RT President, RT Ministry of transport and road construction and RT Ministry of industry and trade should establish closer interaction with “Logistics and road transportations of Tatarstan” in terms of renewal of carrying vehicles and providing orders for carriers.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “

There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
