Operating republican plan “Spring flood” corrected in Tatarstan

A session of the republican Commission for prevention and liquidation of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety “On readiness of territorial subsystem of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations of RT for implementing measures on passing melt waters and prevention of possible emergency situations during the spring flood -2012” will be held on March 29 in Tatarstan.
Such an information was given by temporary acting minister of civil defence and emergency situations Nikolai Surzhko at a briefing in the House of RT Government on issues of preparing for accident-free passing of flood water in RT. The briefing was held in format of teleconference with all municipal regions.
Nikolai Surzhko informed that preparation for realizing anti-flood measures is implemented in accordance with RT Cabinet Decree dated as of 23.02.2012 № 158 “On measures on protection of RT population in the period of spring flood”.
47 command and staff trainings on practicing response to possible situations in flood period are planned and held in February-April 2012 in republican towns and regions. Operating republican plan “Spring flood” has been corrected.
In the context of preparation for accident-free passing of spring flood hydraulic facilities have been repaired for the sum of 63 mln roubles, river beds have been cleaned and bank protection measures implemented for the sum of 36 mln roubles, mounting and repair of flume pipes for the sum of 135 mln roubles have been realized.
By words of Nikolai Surzhko, 178 stations of temporary placement with capacity of 26 thousand people and 584 units of equipment have been prepared for primary life support of population. “Passports of readiness of municipal formations for spring flood 2012” have been created in all RT regions.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
