Rustam Minnikhanov: Village is the place where Tatar people preserve customs, lifestyle and traditions

All-Russia meeting of entrepreneurs from Tatar villages is for the first time held in NCC “Kazan” today. President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov attended the event.
The event was initiated by the Executive committee of the World Congress of Tatars and All-Russia public organization “Tatar villages of Russia” for the purpose of uniting Tatar village businessmen and sharing out experience.
Issues of modern entrepreneurship in rural areas, i.e problems of agricultural producers, selling of agricultural produce, participation of entrepreneurs in preserving and development of native language and national-cultural traditions are being discussed at today’s plenary session.
More than 300 businessmen from 27 Russian regions and 60 entrepreneurs from Tatarstan have gathered in NCC “Kazan” today.
RT President Rustam Minnikhanov greeted participants of All-Russia meeting of entrepreneurs from Tatar villages. He thanked people who had arrived in Kazan to attend the event. Head of republic marked the importance of holding such meetings.
The Tatarstan President said that during his trips he often meets with representatives of Tatar diaspora.
Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that village is the place where Tatar people preserve customs, lifestyle, traditions and culture. Thus, we should treat it with due care, and provide employment.
RT President believes that the event is a good form of meetings for entrepreneurs from Tatar villages, and it is important that the event is held in Tatarstan, the very place which attracts Tatars living outside the republic and Russia.
RT President emphasized that Tatar entrepreneurs are well-known in Russia and abroad. In opinion of Rustam Minnikhanov, the problems of entrepreneurs worry about, and issues of further development should be discussed at the meeting.
The Tatarstan President wished efficient work to attendees of the meeting.
On 8 May, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported that capital overhaul of social facilities is in full swing in the republic with 170 educational facilities having been included into regional and federal programmes.
On 4 May at a briefing held in the Tatarstan Government House it was told that currently there are 92 combat veterans, the last witnesses of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) of 1941-1945, living in the republic. The briefing also informed about veterans’ support measures and how the republic is planning to celebrate the Victory Day on 9 May.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva told that names of 353 Heroes of the Soviet Union from Tatarstan “ are immortalized in street names, on memorials, in monuments and squares and, of course, in our memory”. “The Victory Day is the day of memory, mourning and joy. It is the event which today should be clearly understandable to all young people and younger generation of Tatarstan,” she said.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
