Complex investment plan of Zelenodolsk mono-town economic modernization discussed in RT Government House

A complex investment plan of Zelenodolsk mono-town economic modernization has been discussed at a meeting in the RT Government House today.

Acting RT President – Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, first Deputy RT Prime Minister Ravil Muratov, Head of the working group on modernization of mono-towns at the Government commission on economic development and integration Irina Makieva attended the meeting.

Ildar Khalikov informed that the work on inclusion of Tatarstan towns in the list of problem mono-towns of Russia started three years ago. That time the following towns were included in the list – Naberezhye Chelny, Kamskie Polyany, Chistopol.

State support of mono-towns helped to relieve tension during the economic crisis and reduce unemployment partially.

As for Zelenodolsk town, it was included in extra list of mono-towns at the end of 2011. The process of business diversification is going on at the defence enterprises located in the town.

Head of the working group on modernization of mono-towns at the Government commission on economic development and integration Irina Makieva marked that the problem of enterprises forming a company town is still urgent today, especially when we speak about enterprises of defense-industrial complex.

The complex investment plan of Zelenodolsk mono-town economic modernization was presented to Irina Makieva at the meeting. To the point, the investment project “Creation of technopolis “New Tura” is an important part of modernization process. The project was presented by Deputy director general of OOO “Managing company “Technopolis “New Tura” Sergei Egorov.

Ravil Muratov and Irina Makieva answered journalists’ questions after the meeting.
