Rustam Minnikhanov: We should expand our cooperation with Denmark

The Republic of Tatarstan is interested in attraction of Danish investors and cooperation with Denmark in the sphere of energy efficiency and other areas. Such a statement was made by the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov today at a meeting with the Danish Minister for trade and investment Pia Olsen Duhr.
RF Minister of economic development Elvira Nabiullina took part in the event.
The meeting was held after a solemn launching of the Rockwool plant in SEZ Alabuga. The Russian leadership is interested in attraction of Danish investments, Elvira Nabiullina stressed.
The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Pia Olsen Duhr for the visit to republic saying that the Danish experience in the sphere of energy resource efficiency is widely used in Tatarstan, including the republican program of energy resource saving.
The head of republic called Pia Olsen Duhr for using the advent of Rockwoll plant in Tatarstan in attracting other Danish companies in republic. Moreover, Rustam Minnikhanov suggested organizing the visit of Denmark business delegation to Tatarstan. According to Rustam Minnikhanov, educational sphere is also interesting for republic in cooperation with Denmark.
The Danish Minister for trade and investment Pia Olsen Duhr informed that several Danish companies are willing to launch production in Russia.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
