27 cases of child suicide registered in 2011 in Tatarstan

Only 399 educational institutions of 1800 have the stake of psychologist in Tatarstan, the Ombudsman for children’s rights in RT Guzel Udachina said at a briefing at the RT Government House.
The briefing was held in video conference format with all municipal regions and was dated to the International Children’s Day (June, 1).
Guzel Udachina informed that 723 thousand children live in republic that makes 19 % of the total number of republican citizens. 512 children died in 2011, 380 of them died of diseases, 81 children –of accidents, 27 – of suicides, 13 – of infant mortality, 11 children were killed (criminal deeds).
According to Guzel Udachina, the number of crimes against sexual immunity of children and adolescents has increased by 3,8 times. 98 children became crime victims in 2011. Very often relatives, members of the family act as violators.
Guzel Udachina told about the policy conducted in republic in respect of orphan children. She informed that there are 12 thousand orphan children in republic. 20 % of them were left without parents. In other cases, parents were deprived of parental rights and children became so-called social orphans. Most of them live in foster families.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
