20 June 2012, Wednesday

Development of measures on counteracting short-lived companies and corruption in the sphere of education in Tatarstan have been discussed at the session of Council on counteracting corruption at the RT President. The session was held by the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at the Kazan Kremlin.

Chairman of the RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, members of the republican government, chiefs of law enforcement agencies, municipalities, heads of enterprises and organizations attended the event.

Two issues were considered at the session: “On fulfilling assignment of the RT President in terms of implementing measures on revealing and suppression of activity of short-lived companies and firms unfairly changing their legal address to avoid taxation” and “On efficiency of measures on counteracting corruption in the sphere of education.”

President of Tatarstan noted the importance of counteracting short-lived companies. The data of Federal Financial Monitoring Service say that the number of tax and other kinds of crimes connected with use of anonymous firms has increased since 2010 in arithmetic progression. Total damage caused by these crimes has exceeded 750 mln roubles.

Rustam Minnikhanov said that legal parties changing registration unfairly and migrating to other regions in order to avoid taxation cause great damage to the budget. “We have not reached success in counteracting short-lived companies yet,” the President stated noting that a form of interaction of all supervision and control services must be found.

Corruption in the sphere of education was another problem discussed.
