ABB Group expresses interest in cooperation with Tatarstan

The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has met with Chairman of ABB Group Board of directors Hubertus von Grünberg. The meeting was held within the framework of St.Petersburg international economic forum which has opened at the exhibition center “Lenexpo” (St.Petersburg).

Rustam Minnikhanov introduced members of the Tatarstan delegation present at the meeting, i.e. Director General of JSC Tatneft Shafagat Takhautdinov, Director General of special economic zone Alabuga Timur Shagivaleev, and others. Then, he told about projects being realized in Tatarstan in the sphere of petrochemistry and oil processing. In particular, he reminded that republic is the largest producer of synthetic rubber and ethylene in Russia. To the point, the big project JSC Ammony is being implemented in republic.

ABB Group is the producer of power equipment of high, medium, ad low voltage, products and technologies for automation.

Top management of ABB Group expressed interest in cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan as the most dynamically developing industrial region. It was noted during the conversation that ABB Group has solid experience of running a business in Russia. Generally, the company owns enterprises in 100 countries.
