Rustam Minnikhanov: "In oil production we should take into account 100, not 20-30 years"

Tatarstan oil industry workers cannot stay indifferent to the tragedy happened in Krasnodar krai, the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said after a minute’s silence. Participants of the “oil summit” in Karabash settlement honored the memory of people who had died of natural disaster.

Opening the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov announced some data about the work of oil industry in republic. By and large, 16,228 mln tons of oil have been produced, 12,913 mln tons - by Tatneft. Oil companies offloaded produce for 202 bln roubles in first half-year. Decrease of profitability of oil production is observed due to market fluctuations at the global market.

The RT President noted efficient work of oil industry workers in conditions of field depletion. He appreciated achievements presented at Tatneft, Kazan federal university and Ritek expositions.

Rustam Minnikhanov also spoke about activation of work of practitioners and scientists on increase of oil production noting that several ideas in this sphere were approved by federal authorities. Thus, benefits for development of small fields and bitumen oil have been introduced.
