Rustam Minnikhanov and German Gref discuss cooperation between Tatarstan and JSC Sberbank of Russia in new areas

The Republic of Tatarstan will continue cooperation with JSC Sberbank of Russia in many areas, the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said at a meeting with President and Board Chairman of JSC Sberbank of Russia German Gref at the Kazan Kremlin.
Rustam Minnikhanov informed that possible enhancement of work in the sphere of oil chemistry, engineering and projects in Kama industrial cluster and SEZ Alabuga had been discussed during bilateral meeting with German Gref.
Rustam Minnikhanov supposes that cooperation can also be realized in the agro-industrial complex, including crediting of agricultural producers, private households and farms. He noted that republic cooperates with Sberbank in the sphere of specialist training (Sberbank corporate university at the Kazan Federal University).
German Gref confirmed that interaction with Tatarstan is successfully developing in many areas. In particular, he noted cooperation with Ak Bars Bank and the project on adopting universal e-card in republic. He noted that adoption and promotion of some new Sberbank products will be started in Tatarstan.
At the meeting the parties also discussed issues of cooperation in the sphere of leasing schemes for purchasing machinery.
Speaking about new areas, Rustam Minnikhanov suggested that cooperation in realization of the project “Innopolis” satellite city may be interesting for Sberbank.
Finally, agreement on cooperation was signed between Tatarstan and JSC Sberbank of Russia. Further, Rustam Minnikhanov and German Gref answered questions of journalists.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, Sberbank adopts most advanced technologies in Tatarstan. “Having signed the agreement, we will be working in the sphere of small and medium-size business, infrastructure and social projects, staff training, etc. This agreement expands domain of our activity,” RT President said.
“Arrangements on enhancement of cooperation in Kama industrial cluster were reached,” the Tatarstan President informed.
On 9 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” dedicated to the celebrations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and held at Arsk cemetery in Kazan.
On 8 May, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported that capital overhaul of social facilities is in full swing in the republic with 170 educational facilities having been included into regional and federal programmes.
On 4 May at a briefing held in the Tatarstan Government House it was told that currently there are 92 combat veterans, the last witnesses of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) of 1941-1945, living in the republic. The briefing also informed about veterans’ support measures and how the republic is planning to celebrate the Victory Day on 9 May.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva told that names of 353 Heroes of the Soviet Union from Tatarstan “ are immortalized in street names, on memorials, in monuments and squares and, of course, in our memory”. “The Victory Day is the day of memory, mourning and joy. It is the event which today should be clearly understandable to all young people and younger generation of Tatarstan,” she said.
