Head of Tatarstan Ministry of the interior: “Operative situation in republic is stable but difficult”

A session on summing up operative staff activity for the first half of 2012 was held at the Tatarstan Ministry of the interior.

The session was attended by State Secretary – RF Deputy Minister of the interior Igor Zubkov, the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Chairman of Tatarstan’s State Council Aleksandr Gusev, Chief Federal Inspector Rustam Idrisov, Tatarstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Asgat Safarov, Tatarstan’s Prosecutor Kafil Amirov and Chief of Investigation department of the RF Investigation committee Pavel Nikolaev.

Tatarstan’s Minister of the interior Artem Khokhorin reported on current crime rate in republic. “Operative situation in republic is stable but difficult. The republic’s crime rate is the lowest in Russia,” he said.

In the first half of 2012, 376746 requests and messages about crimes and accidents were received by the Tatarstan interior bodies. By and large, 26394 crimes have been registered, 12597 of them revealed.

For the considered period 10433 people have committed punishable acts; 10 cases of extremist and 1 case of terroristic nature were brought into court. Seven criminal cases under the article “Banditism” and “Organization of criminal association” are at the Supreme Court under consideration. The interior bodies have revealed 1300 crimes connected with illegal drugs turnover.
