Tunneling of second construction stage of Kazan underground finished

Construction of the right underground tunnel between stations “Dekabristov” and “Kozya sloboda” has finished. The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Minister of construction, architecture, housing and utilities Irek Faizullin watched the tunneling machine “Altynchech” appear.
The 1360-meter stretch tunnel was the last one from six tunnels meant to be constructed within the second stage of the Kazan underground. Tunneling of the second stage finished today. Builders now have to end up construction of three stations.
The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that completion of tunneling is a great success of builders. “The next task is to put three stations into service in May. Work will be continued, we have one more station on the first line and another line to build,” Head of republic said.
Chief of MUP “Kazmetrostroi” Marat Rakhimov promised to finish the construction by May, 9, 2013.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
