Kazan bids for holding international championship of working professions - 2019

Kazan may host the international championship of working professions in 2019 (championship of professional skills WorldSkills), Deputy Minister of labour, employment and social protection Klara Tazetdinova informed at a briefing at the RT Government House.
She noted that Kazan got the opportunity to host the championship when Russia became a full member of non-commercial international organization World Skills International (WSI) on May 17, 2012.
WSI delegation comprised of 10 people led by President of the international movement WorldSkillsInternational Simon Bartley will arrive in Kazan tomorrow with a two-day visit.
The delegation is going to meet Tatarstan leadership, visit IT-park to see the presentation of republic’s economic potential and Kazan as the candidate city bidding for the right to host championship of professional skills WorldSkills in 2019.
Guests will also visit the college of small business and entrepreneurship, Kazan Federal University, Universiade Village, Tennis Academy and other sport venues.

WSI’s main activity is organization of contests of professional skills WorldSkills in different countries every two years. 60 countries are now members of the organization. On May 17, at the WSI’s general assembly in Southern Korea (Jeju Island) Russia was proclaimed the 60th member of the international organization.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
