Rustam Minnikhanov: “I positively estimate course of harvesting in Tatarstan”

The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Alekseevsky, Nurlatsky, Alkeevsky, and Spassky regions and inspected course of harvesting. He was accompanied by Marat Akhmetov, Tatarstan’s Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of agriculture and foodstuff.

The working trip started from inspection of fields of KP "Rodina", AF “Yasnaya Polyana” OAO “Vamin-Tatarstan”, OAO “Krasny Vostok Agro” of the Alekseevsky region. Then, a meeting with chiefs of enterprises was held.

The Nurlatsky region was the next place to visit. Harvesting is underway on the region’s fields.

According to the Minister of agriculture and foodstuff, this week was announced the week of maximum labor efficiency, the task was set to mill 1 mln tons of grain. Every region and every enterprise must thrash 4% of harvesting area daily.

Issues of training young staff for agro-industrial complex were also discussed at the meeting. Significant work is carried out in this area in the region, graduates of agricultural institutions come here for work.

Further, the Tatarstan President saw the livestock breeding complex of OOO “Agrofirma “Yuzhnaya”, ZAO UK “Agroinvest” that was put into operation in January 2012.

Later on, President of republic went to the Alkeevsky region where 47 % of planned harvest works have already been implemented. Regional exhibition of local produce was presented to Rustam Minnikhanov. He also acquainted with activity of agricultural production cooperative “Khusangaevsky”, that is processing of plant products. Harvesting of grain crops is to be finished by the mid-August in the region.

In the interview Rustam Minnikhanov positively estimated course of harvesting in Tatarstan.

“Notwithstanding bad weather, due to technologies used, regions have enough grain. Harvesting must be implemented in a short time and preparation for autumn field works must be started,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

The Spassky region was the last point of the working trip. For now, farmers of the region have milled 23.2 thousand tons of grain.
