Rustam Minnikhanov: “Our priority task is to finish harvesting as soon as possible”

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has inspected harvesting in south-eastern regions of republic. He visited Muslyumovsky, Menzelinsky and Tukaevsky municipal regions.
Having seen fields of several farmsteads, the Tatarstan President visited a seed-growing plant of “Kama” agricultural firm (one of divisions of ZAO “Agrosila group”). Construction of this enterprise started in August 2011. It is currently operating in a start-up mode.
Director of OOO “Agrofirma “Kama” Fanis Gazetdinov told that high-quality seed material of grain crops in the amount of 40 000 tons per year will be produced at the plant to satisfy the needs of “Agrosila group” farmsteads. Production of elite seeds will enable increasing yield of grain crops for 5-7 centners/ha.
For August, 8 more than 63 percent of area has been harvested in the Tukaevsky region.
Having seen the seed-growing plant, the Tatarstan President visited fields of “Kama” agricultural firm and met with chiefs of farmsteads, investors and heads of settlements.
Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov who accompanied the president during the trip noted that weather conditions would become worse in coming days. Therefore, it is necessary to intensify harvesting rates and pass to around-the-clock work if possible.
Rustam Minnikhanov asked about urgent problems faced by agricultural producers in the region. Chiefs of farmsteads expressed concern about selling products made. President of republic suggested considering an opportunity of constructing a big agricultural market in Naberezhnye Chelny by the example of Agro-industrial park in Kazan.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
