President of Tatarstan makes detour of objects under construction in Kazan

The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has visited new IT lyceum, Republican Clinical Hospital and Children’s Republican Clinical Hospital, rowing canal and Universiade media center during his working detour.
Head of republic was accompanied by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, Minister of construction, architecture, housing and utilities Irek Faizullin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
IT lyceum for talented people is being created on the territory of Universiade Village. 360 children from different Russian cities will study at new educational institution. They will be accommodated in one of the buildings of the Universiade Village.
Participants of the detour inspected lyceum premises – classrooms, gym and assembly hall, dining-room and living rooms. “The building must be provided with high-quality advanced equipment,” the Tatarstan President stressed. Rustam Minnikhanov gave assignment to think over variants of the territory development, fit out sports grounds and places for comfortable rest.
When visiting the Republican Clinical Hospital, Rustam Minnikhanov again focused on issues of the territory development. He walked around the hospital and was very dissatisfied with absence of normal pedestrian sidewalks and a great number of abandoned premises.
At the Children’s Republican Clinical Hospital Rustam Minnikhanov paid attention to interior decoration of rooms.
While viewing the rowing canal, participants of the detour discovered the water area on the motor boat. In particular, they inspected the embankment area that must be cleared of rubbish.
Renewed project of the building was presented to Rustam Minnikhanov at the construction site of the Universiade media center.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
