Rustam Minnikhanov: “Aviation industry plays important role in our work”

“Developed industry, educational and research base, traditions of aircraft engineering make aviation industry an important part of the Tatarstan economy,” the RT President Rustam Minnikhanov stated at VI International specialized exhibition "Aerospace technologies, modern materials and equipment. Kazan-2012". The exhibition has opened at the exhibition center “Kazanskaya yarmarka”.
The traditional exhibition was organised by the RT Cabinet, the Minsitry of industry and trade, and aviation enterprises.
The Tatarstan President noted that the event offers great opportunity for specialists to discuss urgent problems of the industry. He especially thanked foreign guests for participation and wished success to all attendees of the exhibition.
President of OAO “United aircraft engineering corporation” Mikhail Pogosyan said that the exhibition would enable to discuss issues connected with joining efforts in the sphere of development of new materials, staff training and creation of modern aviation complexes.
Deputy Director of the Department for aviation industry of the RF Ministry of industry and trade Sergei Fominykh read out greetings of the RF Minister of industry and trade Denis Manturov.
Agreement on cooperation in the sphere of development of the Tatarstan aviation cluster was signed by RT Government, the United aircraft engineering corporation, KAPO n.a. S.P.Gorbunov, KNITU n.a. Tupolev in the presence of the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
The agreement stipulates foundation of Kazan aircraft engineering technology park on the territory of OAO KAPO n.a. S.P.Gorbunov. Its residents will be busy with production of aviation components for Russian aircraft engineering plants, development and adoption of high technology projects in aircraft engineering and mechanical engineering sectors.
Rustam Minnikhanov also took part in a plenary session of the research and practice conference "Modern technologies, materials, equipment and accelerated renewal of human resources".
Mikhail Pogosyan informed that Tatarstan aircraft engineering industry faces ambitious tasks, realization of which will provide full load for many related enterprises.
On 9 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” dedicated to the celebrations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and held at Arsk cemetery in Kazan.
On 8 May, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported that capital overhaul of social facilities is in full swing in the republic with 170 educational facilities having been included into regional and federal programmes.
On 4 May at a briefing held in the Tatarstan Government House it was told that currently there are 92 combat veterans, the last witnesses of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) of 1941-1945, living in the republic. The briefing also informed about veterans’ support measures and how the republic is planning to celebrate the Victory Day on 9 May.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva told that names of 353 Heroes of the Soviet Union from Tatarstan “ are immortalized in street names, on memorials, in monuments and squares and, of course, in our memory”. “The Victory Day is the day of memory, mourning and joy. It is the event which today should be clearly understandable to all young people and younger generation of Tatarstan,” she said.
