Rustam Minnikhanov presented the keys to new cars to the heads of municipalities of Tatarstan

Awarding of the winners of the annual competition of inspection the Municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan was held today in Kazan. On the square in front of RT State Council the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov presented keys to new cars to the heads of municipalities.
The Competition conducted by RT council of municipal formations. This year's winners of the awards got 100 new Fiat Albea cars.
Addressing to the winners, the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the work of municipalities connected with constant contact with the residents. "All power rests on the municipalities, and the strengthening of the material and technical base of municipalities, the use of new technologies improves the quality of relations between the power and people", - said Rustam Minnikhanov.
He noted that in recent years the Tatarstan leadership attaches great importance to the effective work of the municipalities. "Our main task - to be mobile and quick. And it is necessary to move quickly, timely get the information and make decisions, "- said the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the leaders of municipalities for the contribution they make for the country's development.
"Everything we do today, we do for the benefit of the inhabitants of our country and is already yielding the results, - said the President of Tatarstan. - I hope to continue our work together, and it will be even more productive in future".
Rustam Minnikhanov and the chairman of RT council of municipal formations Minsagit Shakirov handed the keys to new cars to winners of the competition.

On 9 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” dedicated to the celebrations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and held at Arsk cemetery in Kazan.

On 4 May at a briefing held in the Tatarstan Government House it was told that currently there are 92 combat veterans, the last witnesses of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) of 1941-1945, living in the republic. The briefing also informed about veterans’ support measures and how the republic is planning to celebrate the Victory Day on 9 May.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva told that names of 353 Heroes of the Soviet Union from Tatarstan “ are immortalized in street names, on memorials, in monuments and squares and, of course, in our memory”. “The Victory Day is the day of memory, mourning and joy. It is the event which today should be clearly understandable to all young people and younger generation of Tatarstan,” she said.
