All repaired schools in Tatarstan will start the learning process on September 1

All schools In the Republic of Tatarstan, participating in the overhaul in 2012, will begin the learning process on September 1. It was announced today at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan by the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of Tatarstan Irek Faizullin. National meeting was held in videoconference mode and was chaired by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
According to the head of the RT Ministry of Construction, the task for this year is almost solved. Irek Faizullin reported that the repair continues only in two schools.
In addition, the speaker noted, that in correctional schools, which were also included in the program, a comprehensive renovation is complete. Only four correctional schools are lagging behind the schedule, but the work will be carried out in the line with the learning process.
Rustam Minnikhanov said that next year the program of overhaul of school should be completed in time. According to him, list of schools for the repair in 2013 should be approved before the end of this academic year. Then the builders can start the work as soon as students leave schools for summer holidays.
Rustam Minnikhanov also noted that the heating system in preschools would be turn on in the nearest future, according to weather conditions.
On 9 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” dedicated to the celebrations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and held at Arsk cemetery in Kazan.

On 4 May at a briefing held in the Tatarstan Government House it was told that currently there are 92 combat veterans, the last witnesses of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) of 1941-1945, living in the republic. The briefing also informed about veterans’ support measures and how the republic is planning to celebrate the Victory Day on 9 May.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva told that names of 353 Heroes of the Soviet Union from Tatarstan “ are immortalized in street names, on memorials, in monuments and squares and, of course, in our memory”. “The Victory Day is the day of memory, mourning and joy. It is the event which today should be clearly understandable to all young people and younger generation of Tatarstan,” she said.
