Rustam Minnikhanov meets with delegation of Turkish companies

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has met with officials of Turkish companies “Koç Holding”,”Renaissance” and “Ford Otosan”.

Vice-premier and Minister of industry and trade Ravil Zaripov, Minister of construction, architecture, housing and communal services Irek Faizullin, Aide to the RT President on international issues Radik Gimatdinov, Director General of OJSC KAMAZ Sergei Kogogin, Director General of OJSC “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” Vladimir Busygin were present at the meeting. The Turkish delegation is led by chairman of Turkish-Russian business council Erman Ilicak.

Opening the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Turkish businessmen for attention paid to Tatarstan. He noted that big projects of Turkish companies are already realized in republic. In particular, big plants “Kastamonu Entegre”, “Şişecam”, “Hayat Kimya” are being constructed at SEZ Alabuga.

The Tatarstan delegation will soon visit the Turkish city Bursa to discuss prospects of cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and Turkish companies in the sphere of production of vehicle components. According to Rustam Minnikhanov, cooperation with Turkey is supported by Russia’s leadership at the highest level.

Members of the delegation briefly presented their companies. Thus, activity of “Koç Holding”, one of the largest companies in Europe, also includes automobile manufacture. Passenger and commercial vehicles are produced at “Ford Otosan”. Koç group owns enterprises producing agricultural machinery and vehicle components.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Turkish companies play an important role in realization of the “Ford-Sollers” project at SEZ Alabuga as suppliers of vehicle components. He suggested considering an opportunity of establishing plants for producing vehicle components in Tatarstan.

”Renaissance” construction company is willing to cooperate with “Nizhnekamskneftekhim”. Director General of OJSC “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” Vladimir Busygin said that the company is ready to offer participation in construction of ethylene complex and fourth stage of polystyrene production.
